Hope for Peace Sculpture for the city of Balad, Iraq

This sculpture, created in stainless steel and bronze, symbolizes hope for peace in Iraq and a new beginning for the city of Balad. Commissioned by the 4th Infantry, United States Army, it was donated to Balad, placed by the people of Balad in the town square, and dedicated in March, 2004. The word "Peace" appears on the sculpture in Arabic and English.
