Multinational Force & Observers, South Camp Memorial
2000
Approximate size: 1' x 4' x 4'
This piece, located at the MFO's South Camp at Sharm el Sheik on the Red Sea in southern Sinai, is part of a memorial to the 306 soldiers have died while serving in the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO).
The MFO is an eleven-nation peacekeeping force, created by the Camp David Accords to observe and report any infractions in the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.
A memorial arch located at MFO's North Camp is also part of the memorial. I created both in Lansing for shipment to Egypt.
